This is the first and only album of the group Mystique formed by the lead singing of Ralph Johnson, the former lead singer of the Impressions for their 70s hits such as finally got myself together or "Sooner or Sooner" and "Same thing it took" that you can find on first impressions, ...
His distinctive voice continues on Mystique's album, with fellow members of Mystique Larry Brownlee, Fred Simon and Charles Fowler.
This album sounds like a Curtis Mayfield production in the vein of the natural four, or like sugar candy lady of Billy Butler,... and includes the great modern soul tune "Fill you up" produced by Gene McDaniels and arranged by Alan Silvestri.
This track is on the compilation of big cheese label, named the smoocher is back.
