An incredible album of Latin Funk -- recorded in Peru during the early 70s, but right up there with the best from New York and LA at the time! The record has a fantastic style that blends together electric instrumentation, acoustic percussion, and some sweetly soulful lyrics -- in English on all the tracks, and nice and funky throughout! Despite its obscure initial origin, the record's gone onto become a seminal Latin groove favorite over the years -- thanks to keen global interest in the group, and a solid sound on the record that keeps this one at the top of our play pile over the years. The whole album's a gem -- and killer cuts include "Funky Man", "Too Late", and a beautiful version of "Pussy Cat" -- a super track from the soundtrack to the film The Owl & The Pussycat, with totally tasty Fender Rhodes grooves!
