this group is known under various names: Ice, Lafayette Afro Band Rock'n'roll or Crispy & Co. At the beginning, this group of funk was formed with Length Island at the end of the Sixties, but expatriate in Paris, to seek success in Europe. Hardly unloaded, the producer Pierre Jaubert (Charles Mingus, John Lee Hooker) takes them under his cut. The eight Americans put themselves then directly at work. Bobby Servant boy, the leader, returns in States and the seven others remain in Paris, change name for Ice and leave their first album Each Man Makes His Own Destiny, in 1973. The following year, the group recovers its name of the beginning, Lafayette Afro Rock Band and leaves three albums until 75. The following year, new renaming, for new the opus, Ice leaves Frisco Disco, then replacement the same year for Crispy & Co and Funky Flavored and still Ice, into 77, with Thumping, Seven American in Paris and Afghan Afro.........KILLER AFROFUNK...........
