A seminal latin music recording, it was one of the first that documented NY salsa musicians of Puerto Rican and Cuban background reaching back toward the Afro-Cuban roots of the music. But that does not convey the pure pleasure and groove of this project. Great musicians all around: Manny Oquendo, Andy and Jerry Gonzalez, Chocolate Armenteros, Milton Cardona, and more.
One problem though: the transfer to CD is terrible: flat, lousy sound. And finding the LP in decent condition: very tough. If anyone has it in LP form, in excellent condition, I'm there to buy it!
