Amparo Ochoa's third LP, released in Mexico by Discos Pueblo under the serial number DP-1024. Later, and maintaining the same content, it would be re-released in Spain by Movieplay as “Amparo Ochoa de México” (1977), and in Mexico by Discos Pueblo as “Cancionero popular Volumen 2”. In it, Amparo performs works by various Latin American composers, such as Carlos Mejía Godoy, Pancho Madrigal, Salvador “Chava” Flores and others.
Amparo is accompanied in the performance by the ensemble Los Morales (composed of siblings Aristeo, Monica and Jose Guadalupe Aguilar Morales) and the ensemble Los Folkloristas. She says on the back cover of this LP:
The popular vein flows in their timbred throat, interpreting the new composers as well as those of the past, twinned by their common interest in expressing in song our reality; without false facades of props that pretend to hide all that we must change. Amparo Ochoa sings to us with the voice of our people, both in humorous songs and in reflective and poetic ones.
She is accompanied in this recording by the magnificent group of the Morales brothers, as well as Los Folkloristas.
