OCEANA is another wonderful album of one of the most talented keyboard player in todays music!What is really outstanding,regarding Sherinian's albums-is that each of it has such a high level of musicianship and number of guests-that is basically -IMPOSSIBLE-to make in this conditions a weak album!The man has the perfect formula to have a winning album every time-great guests,strong and catchy compositions and masterful musicianship for each of the high caliber musicians involved in his albums!OCEANA is definitelly better than many previous excellent albums of Derek,is is more guitar orientated ,more diverse and it's ...simply MORE INSPIRED in compositions!OCEANA is ,in a way,the most fusion rock or metal orientated albums for Derek ,and all the great guitar players have some wonderful interventions here-the title track OCEANA is a pure jewel and FIVE ELEMENTS is almost a JEFF BECK clone song!STEVE STEVENS is bafulous and DOUG ALDRITCH is a revelation,but MACALPINE is strong too,not to forget to mention STEVE LUKATHER too... and JOE BONAMASA plays trully perfect!Wow...what a cast!
