at the time called just an experiment, recorded for the first time in band's history without loud metal attributes, the calm reflection of Opeth's approach was extremely prophetic, playing the introductory role to where inspiration of the outstanding Swedish entity currently lies: all acoustic album of progressive rock [2003], by initial plan A supposed to be a part of 'Deliverance' opus, was a bald, provocative challenge, yet plan B was spontaneously activated, and soft, clean, though deep and dark music that grabs by its catchiness, sang in a very calm voice, was released separately; it was definitely produced by Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree, who also appears as a guest on grand piano, mellotron, and backing vocals, and what is the most important - this recording with its meditative effect has instantly mesmerized and keeps doing so two decades later
