Troyka was a band from Canada. They released this only one album back in 1970. A bluesy heavy psych, with some folk-ish passages and brilliant guitar riffs. There are some vocals here and there but most of the time this album is instrumental. Quite different in feel than other North American power trios, undoubtedly due to the European roots of some of the players. Troyka's lone LP displays in spades that unbridled, uninhibited creativity and willingness to experiment that characterized the era.
