The record opens with “Crache La Douleur” (11’13”), a dancefloor oriented tune with an uncut groove on rhythms (note a fabulous featuring of Master Tony Allen on drums), splendid Afrocentric horns and cool vocals.

This tune offers 2 fantastic drum breaks, one in a pure funky style with drums & voice and all the musicians entering the groove again and the second with eerie & weird sounds from the keys that emphasize the drum beat fever of Tony.
