OS ORIGINAIS DO SAMBA – TENHA FE POIS AMANHA + FALADOR PASSA MAL ... A tribute to this great samba-rock group led by the legendary Mussum. Making a strong comeback in Brazil, this seventies sound is a curious blend of Samba, Black Groove and… Jerk. These two tracks were penned by its supreme master JORGE BEN.
TONY BIZARRO – NAO PODE. Pure 70s made-in-Brazil black groove. Just a reminder that they were getting down and funky on that side of the Atlantic too!
TIM MAIA – VOU COM GAS. Manic carioca idol, misturada of the JBs, Curtis Mayfield and Otis Redding, this black icon of Brazilian music died in 1996, victim of his own excesses. In 1972, he introduced the sixty people at his record company to chemical heaven by giving them acid… So when will someone produce a retrospective of his music to match his extravagance?
