Killer selection from his self-produced LPs - recorded between 1986 and 1990 in Paris' african music's meccas: studio Caroline and Village Music. Highly hybrid music blending traditional West african percussions with drum kits, electronic drum machines and synths. It spans from polyrythmic drum tracks to heavy afro-club tunes through salsa/afro latin sounds... And features some of the best studio nerds of the period: Denis Hekimian, Rémy Salomon, Jacques Latapie to name a few. The tape includes both tracks from the Yellow/Vol. 3 record: "M'bongui Percussion" (named "Madinga" on the tape) and features an alternate version (shortened) of "Lugwénia" ("mwendo").
