Joe Bataan's debut album, featuring his band of teenage players - the Latin Swingers. "Gypsy Woman" is a classic of the boogaloo/Latin soul era, highlighting Bataan's unique, doo-wop influenced vocals. Though not often lauded as much, the album also features excellent Latin dance instrumentals, especially "Fuego" and "Chickie's Trombone." The LP also introduces Bataan's well-loved ballad, "Ordinary Guy."
