Probably paradise ‘ most successful line-up with all members of the band contributing to the songs and lyrics. Group developed a huge following amongst black and white christan funk fans in the UK whilst drawing the attention of secular music record executives.
Bands message was religious and uplifting but also found a way to attract kids from the street by the power of their funky sound.
Manager Mike Martin the main force behind this groups progress. Once referred to as the British answer to kool and the gang. Falsetto paul johnson , Like “Philip Bailey” gave the group an earth, wind and fire edge.
This album was recorded in England on Ebony Records / Pilgrim Records in 1982, but 10 000 copies of this album was also issued in US on the label :"Onyx International Records", ref. "R 3808".

Paradise represented a unique subgenre of UK Black gospel music which was influenced by the 70's Giants such as Commodores and Earth Wind and Fire.Goups such as Kainos, Clarity and InnerVision rejected the traditional approach to gospel music and adopted Funk as their vehicle.

I have this on cassette and wore it out playing it so much. I have been looking for either an LP or CD of this as I LOVE it. I never knew these guys were from the UK until today....= )
